Marcel A. Breault
Thoroughly experienced in all phases of fine jewelry production and design , Marcel Alphonse Breault expresses his contemporary vision of jewelry in his self-named collection. After spending many years as a custom designer for other fine jewelers, Breault opened his own design studio as an outlet for his creative energies -- a venture that proved so satisfying and successful that it now occupies him full time.
Childhood interests in painting and sculpting are evident in his jewelry designs, which usually combine vivid colors of fancy-cut gemstones and gold in clean, symmetrical forms. This style is best expressed in the designer's whimsical "lantern" series of pendants and earrings in which curving and angular shapes of gold are balanced by square and triangular colored gemstones and cultured pearls.
One of Breault's strong influences is that of antiquities and his goal as a designer is to use a view of the past to create heirlooms of the future. His work can be found in a growing number of fine jewelry stores and galleries.
